File Storage:

File storage is important because it is the means for you to transport your evidence/artefacts in a digital format.

Files you may want to store are:

1. Video (.avi .wmv .flv .mpeg4)
-->note: check to make sure you don't have to convert file types to upload to youtube
-->use a file conversion program like http://www.zamzar.com or download http://www.koyotesoft.com if you need to convert file types.
-->if you are making a Windows Movie Maker, then make sure you save it as a movie file (under "save as movie file"). (Don't just leave in "project mode")
--> Youtube downloader will convert youtube videos to mp3s or into other video file formats.

2. Photos (.png .jpeg)
-->make sure to edit your photos first using http://www.picnik.com
-->check to see your file upload maximums (some .jpegs tend to be big files)

3. Music (mp3, .wav mp4)
-->if you are doing a voice recording, you can use Windows sound recorder (saves as an .mp3)
-->you can download http://www.audacity.net which is a sound file editor
-->mac has garageband built in
-->music files can be uploaded into http://www.glogster.com interactive posters

Ways to store and transport your files:
1. USB/travel drive/stick
2. Google Docs (you will need a http://www.google.com account [they have a great file upload system]
3. Online file storage solutions such as http://www.box.net [create a free personal account--they may have a 2 gb limit]
